PLAY BALL!

Spring is in full swing around here! Whit had his first Pee Wee baseball practice Monday night! The whole family was there cheering him on! Kennedy is having a ball playing soccer! I am enjoying watching my babies play sports!! They are loving it! Coach Greg is getting tired FAST! Whit loved every minute of baseball practice. I think his Daddy loved every minute of it too. He loves that Whit loves everything he does. :) I am sure this is the first of MANY, MANY, springs at Mill Creek. :)

BIG STEPS!

We've got lots of new skills going on around our house lately! :) Whit asked me today to write his name on a paper when he was drawing. I wrote it and went back to making dinner. I turn around to a little smiling 3 1/2 year old boy so proud of himself. He WROTE HIS OWN NAME!!! HELLO! Bring on the tears. Yes, I cried. I cried when he wrote a W, and I cried when he wrote his name. :) He's getting so big!!!

On Saturday Kennedy tells me that she tried to make her own dinner but she messed up. I go in to find a container of easy mac open, with the cheese pack in, water filled to the line, but it was not cooked. I laughed and she was like, "It's not funny! I messed it up!" I informed her she just forgot to put it in the microwave. :) Fast forward a day, and I find this....

Her very first sandwich made by herself. She was so proud of herself! She is growing up way too fast! They both are!!

In the Blink of an Eye

I remember the very first picture that I took of Kennedy when I realized she was no longer a baby, but a little girl. She was sitting on my floor in the hallway and had on a yellow shirt and the biggest smile. I remember thinking how could this be? Maybe it's her new haircut, or maybe it is turning 5, but my BABY looks more and more grown each day that passes. Go ahead and laugh and say, well duh, but to a mommy it is proof that time passes all too quickly. She's just beautiful, my Kennedy. Her heart is one of the sweetest I know. She's also full of spice, but her good defiantly outweighs the bad. ;) I love you so much sweet girl. You are so excited about being big and doing big girl things. I just want to hold your hand and keep you small. You are going to have to talk me through this. I don't know if I can handle you growing up this fast! ;)

SOCCER!!!

Today was her first soccer practice! She has been SOOOO excited about playing. :) I laugh only because I have never in my life been good at sports. I cringe when a ball is thrown my way. She was super excited about her new cleats and shin guards. She loved the outfit! It's definitely important to wear cute soccer gear! I am so proud of my girl! She did great at practice! She had a lot of fun! Stay tuned for pics of the big season!

With the best coach in the world.....her DADDY! I love that he doesn't want to miss a moment of anything.
At this point she is screaming about how excited she was to play soccer! It even made Greg giggle. :)

GOOOOOOO KENNEDY!!! We can't wait to cheer you on!!

He only has eyes for ME! :)

Being a mom is by far the best title I have ever held. I love these babies so very much. I was tucking Whit in tonight and he always begs for me to lay down with him for a few minutes. He actually asks for 16 minutes. Most nights, I say ok, and climb in and rub his back for a few minutes. Tonight he says, "Lay down for 16 minutes, then we can just talk." Then this precious little boy, lays there and just grins at me, with more adoration than I even deserve in his three year old eyes. I can't help but fast forward to the future where he won't stop and adore me like that anymore. I want to soak every single minute of this in. This little boy, all 36 pounds of him, loves me so very much. I hope I can always remember that look that he gives me now. He's always adored me like that. I loved how he would look up at me when he was a baby, and now he is filled with words and still that sweet look. It's something that I haven't captured on film, but it is truly etched in my heart forever. I took a moment tonight and thanked God for you, my Whit. I am thankful for each and every moment we share with you. I don't deserve to be your mom, but I am SO thankful God gave you to us. I hope that when you are all grown up, you still know how much I adore you. I'll never forget the way you love us. What a precious boy you are!

Neighbors :)

We are fully aware that some of you make fun of us. You might think we are a bit to close. ;) Yet, if you truly lived next door to your best friends you would understand. Jen and I are realizing this little piece of heaven is not going to last forever. I can't even think about it. We both want bigger houses, yet our way of life is truly PERFECT! I am so thankful for our friendship. We dreamed that our children would be close and they truly are. They might as well be siblings. I am so very blessed. You can keep talking about us. We don't care. We've got it made.....;) I think the ones that benefit the most are the littlest Prossers and Olliffs. There is not a moment that they don't have an instant friend there to play. Now, fights do break out here quite often, but we like to think we are raising kids that can handle any situation. It just makes them tougher. ;) Here's what a regular old Sunday afternoon looks like around here. It was followed by a chicken sandwhich dinner of course. :)

Easter

Tonight I read a children's book about Easter. My kids sat in awe of every word I read. Kennedy really was concerned about how exaclty they put the nails in Jesus's hands. Whit was very upset about the whole situation. I loved every minute of the discussion. It is rare that we are all calm enough to have a conversation like that. If one is listening, usually the other one is acting silly. Yet, tonight, they both sat wide eyed as I read the story. They asked very thoughtful questions and we talked about them. I am so thankful for my faith. It has grown so much through the years. I can't remember at time where I didn't believe in our God, but I know their are times that I have doubted his love. I don't ever doubt anymore. I just place my life in His hands. It's the safest place I know. I do have lots of questions for Him when I meet Him face to face, but until then, I will continue to try to grow in my faith and trust Him. He's done nothing but bless me thus far. As my conversation with my children tonight unfolded, I am sure He is smiling down on us. Those sweet innocent children.....already growing in faith. It is yet again even more than I could ask for. I serve a God that I don't deserve, but yet, I continue to be blessed. I am so humbled and thankful tonight.

Kennedy and Whit, may you always have the hunger for learning about God that you do right now. I love you both so dearly! :)
