MIME!!
When did 15 months old become a grown up age? Whit is starting to form 2 word phrases. He pointed to the TV the other night and said, "see it?" Now these are words that only a mommy can understand. He also tells you a whole babbly sentence if he has something really important to say. We just nod and listen. Sometimes they make sense!! :) But tonight, a big moment happened around here. He runs up to Kennedy, grabs her tea pot and pulls it tight, then proudly announces to her, "MIME!" Yes, I am saying mime and not mine. He says very clearly, MIME while looking at you like, "I dare you to try to take this." How did a 15 month old become so smart? My baby is quickly fading into a fie sty toddler. Stay little, Whit....Mommy likes the little sweet baby!! Although this sweet personality can grow up I guess. We are enjoying every little stage he is in!! I am so glad you are MIME Whitty Whit! :)

Father may I....
Fair warning...I am about to get sappy. It has been a while since I have been inspirational so I thought it was about time. I cried this morning when I watched the news about a child in Savannah that died of the flu. She was four. She woke up one morning with flu like symptoms and the next day she passed away. It really made my stomach sick. I thought about how many mornings we wake up around here and someone has an unexpected fever. My first thought is oh no....another day off for one of us and we need to save our days! Never in my wildest dreams do I think I would be losing one of them. It just put me in my place. Tonight Kennedy is off with Greg at his beloved high school football game. I think it is silly and the two of them love it. Whit and I had a nice trip to Hobby Lobby and Walgreens. He laughed hysterically at everyone and waved bye bye to everyone in the entire store. I made an attempt to rock him tonight, just because, and he thought that was hilarious as well. He hasn't let me rock him since he was like 3 months old. :) So off we went to his room where I always turn off the lights and sway him a little to settle him down. He plays with my hair and snuggles me. It is one of my most favorite moments in life. Just a pure moment....and this is where my head went....
Father, I pray that I hear these breaths of my children until I have no more. I pray that they live long and happy lives. May I never forget the feel of my son's face against mine, the way his tiny little hands rub my back when he is tired or just loving on his MaMa. May I never forget the sweetness that comes when he takes my hair in those little bitty hands and smiles up at me. All 22 lbs of this little boy will one day become a man. And I hope as his face is against mine I will always remember how he feels today. That sweetness, that innocence, that joy that he brings, the love that he gives. I am his first love. I know there will be many others as he grows. But I hope that he knows his MaMa's love for him. These children you have given me will grow. It is happening all too fast if you ask me. I hope that I am in some way deserving of these two. Kennedy said today, "One day, I will be married in a beautiful pink dress." I know someday she will (maybe not in the pink dress!). I thought I waited an eternity to have these children. It feels like no time when I look back. May I enjoy them each day that passes. I am undeserving for my blessings, but I'll take them. I am so thankful I cannot even express how much. May these two always know what true miracles they are and how this MaMa is forever grateful to the God who blessed my home. AMEN.
And then I cried. Hug your babies extra tight. Love each moment you have with them. One day they will be all grown up and blogging about their extreme happiness and you won't know where time went. At least that is how I am sure old MeMe feels about now. I love you Mom. :)

BOO!
Today started off with a bang....Greg woke up with a fever. I decided to take the kids to church to let him rest and get away from him for a bit. :) He gets really whiny when he is sick and I have a problem being sympathetic to him when he is sick. Sad, but true...anyways, Whit cries the entire time at church. I took them home, took these pics, and then Whit fell asleep in his highchair at lunch. He woke up from his nap screaming and didn't stop for about 3 hours....poor, poor baby. He starting running a fever and we are thinking it might be his ears. Please keep him in your prayers. He is still recovering from his virus a week ago and has been so sick lately. I nursed this baby for a YEAR!! Maybe I should go thaw out some breastmilk and build that immunity back up..ha! He did finally settle for the night. I just hate when my children are in pain and I can't do anything. He will be at the dr bright and early in the morning. I just want him to feel better!
On a happier note, I got some very cute pics of them today.

The Littlest Olliff is 15 Months Old!

He's little. He has to scream to be heard sometimes. He came into this world acting so sweet. He had his daddy's temperment...so nice and mellow. There have been days lately that I didn't know what happened to my sweet baby. He shakes those hands and stomps his feet while screaming....and I think...where did Whit go?!!!! Ahhh....he is turning into me. Oh, no...whatever will I do if I have to raise two of me? Ha..ha! Then there are days that I can't believe how blessed we are to have him here. I cannot imagine what this house would feel like without him. He's all boy, my Whit. He runs full force until he falls on his face. Two times yesterday he bounced off the concrete at the zoo. That is where the lovely scratch came from in the picture. It is worse today. Bless him, he just loves life. He wakes each morning ready to GO! He loves what his Daddy loves. He current passions are hats and deer. Hard life, huh?
I got teary this morning watching him toddle around the house. He had footy jammies on and his belly sticks out like Santa. He ran around all morning sticking that belly out with his hands behind his back. It was so funny! I can see his little babyhood coming to an end but I am lingering in it a little. I worry that I will always baby him because he is just that, my baby. Oh, well. If I am creating a momma's boy, then I don't care because this momma loves her boy. It is funny being a mom. Who knew your heart could ache with happiness? I honestly wonder if I will forever be this sappy about life. Will my heart ache when they run out the door to go to baseball practice or dance? I guess we'll live and see. They make my world a better place, these two. They have made me a better person. I am so thankful to have them in my life. These little feet that scatter about my house...may I always remember these moments. You've grown up so much latley, my Whitty Whit. I hear MAMA!!! all day long (with your arms open wide for me) and there are very few other sounds on earth that sound better than that. I love you so, so much!!

I love God
Me: What's your favorite animal Kennedy?
K: An elephant!
Me: We are going to see an elephant when we go to the zoo.
K: What's an elephant mommy?
Now, please try to describe an elephant. That is a hard thing to do....hmmm...
Me: Well it is an animal with a trunk. It is a really long nose so it can pick up things.
K: Oh, why's it have a trunk, Mommy?
Me: I don't know...God just made it that way.
K: Oh, why?
Me: I guess God just wanted them to have a trunk.
K: Oh....I love God Mommy.
Me: Me too Kennedy, me too.
Gosh, I love this child.

The Fair!
Oh, joy the fair is here! I secretly hate the fair. Well, I guess it is not a secret. I do hate the fair. I hate very dirty places where I am scared to go to the bathroom. I am much happier at a large theme park like Disney. It just feels cleaner and safer. Yet, living in a small town, involves doing small town things like the fair. Kennedy and Whit had a blast! Statesboro has a parade the opening day of the fair. I make a lot of fun of that as well. I still think they need to realize they should have a Christmas parade and not a fair parade, but whatever. It got canceled due to rain, but the rain went away so we headed to the fair. Aunt Courtney was in town so she got to enjoy some of the kiddie rides with Kennedy. Whit got to ride his first ride, the Merry Go Round. He had fun! I will say that it goes much faster than I was expecting!
Our little crowd!
A baby and his blackberry
The Big Ones and Little Ones
We can never move. Maybe some day we can afford a bigger house, but we will just stay here. I can't imagine not living next door to the Prosser's! Here's what our crowd is up to lately...
Refusing to have their picture taken....with Kennedy in her fairy dress and beautiful hair!
The Little Ones
They are big enough to play together now. Whit does things to bother Lorelei. He uses his walking skill to annoy her. He sees a toy, snatches it, and walks away laughing. Bad, bad baby! They really are communicating more and I think it is so sweet. Precious babies!
Whit:"hmmm...what is that?"

"Oh, thanks! Looks interesting.."

Really, I can't even describe this one. I wonder what they are thinking! :)

Kennedy and I looked through her baby book this morning. It had the pictures of the day she met Drew. I love that picture. It really means so much because back then Jen and I were hopeful. We hoped they would love each other. We really haven't given them much of a choice to not love each other, but out of it all they have become the best of friends. If you ask Kennedy who her best friend is, she quickly replies Drew, like we were dumb for having to ask. I hope they always are there for each other. It will be interesting to see all these relationships develop. Maybe Lorelei and Kennedy will be best friends some day! For now, she has Whit...bless her sweet heart! Ha!
The Big Kids
"Where are Drew and Kennedy?" We go in search and find this...all snuggled in the bed together. We ask what they are doing and get nothing but giggles....these two are up to NO good!

COUSINS!!!!
All the cousins are on their way to Disney this week. On their trip down, they stopped by mom and dad's and we went down to spend the day with them. I love seeing how happy they make Kennedy. She gets really excited about all of them. Paisley is her just my size cousin and they really make a cute pair. It was good to see all my family together. We don't get that way as much as I would like. I begged and begged for a picture with both of my brothers but I never ended up with one. Why didn't they listen to me?!!! :) Oh, well, next time I guess!
MeMe and Pops's pride and joy.....all the grandbabies together: Lander, Paisley, Whit, Kennedy, and Henley
One year ago....
I really need to stop reminiscing. Read my post below for explanation about my memory blogging here. I can't stop myself. I need to stop. Put the computer away, Katie. :)
I found these of sweet Whit. A year can change so much!!! Look at my sweet baby one year ago...

2 short years ago....
I was cleaning out a jump drive to make room to move pictures around and save things when I found these. I got a little teary looking through them all. As you all know, I am a bit sentimental when it comes to these precious children of mine. These are from October of 2007. Only 2 short years ago....Whit didn't even exist yet, my Kennedy was still a little juicy baby....oh my, how life flies by. Here's a bit of my walk down memory lane.
Kennedy and Mommy! Our first fall together. Gosh, I remember thinking how great she was. I was so happy to finally have her here and she was becoming such a little person. So full of joy!
I laughed when I saw this one. First, the fact that we went places together. Look Jen, we are in the same car! Those sweet babies go way, way back. K and Drewbie didn't miss a beat from the very beginning.

So, happy!! My little butterfly!

That hair again.....:) This was her first pair of jeans.

Look closely....you might not recognize everyone here...that's right, it's Lillian!! Well, now, she has changed since then, huh? :)

The love for football came early. I would also like to document that two years later, Greg chose to be in this same position with these two, ALL BY HIMSELF! The mommies took the babies home and Greg took our older kiddos to the game. Even Greg has grown up since then! :)

Every picture I looked through made me smile, even the crying Kennedy ones. We just look so happy when you look back. And as I think of it, we were. We still are. These children have filled my home with more joy than I ever imagined. Even though I had to physically hold that sweet Kennedy down today to make her put on shoes while she screamed, "I WANT TO STAY HOME!"...life is still good. It's the good ones that keep you going. Like right now, snuggling and watching Dora. Thank you Kennedy for the joy you bring. May you always know how much we enjoy your spirit. 2 years from now, I am sure you will be even more grown up and I'll look at today's pictures with sweet memories. Life goes by way to fast!!
That crazy hair! We had to put a bow in the top because it wouldn't stay anywhere else! It only grew down in the front....still does. This girl and her hair. No curls...so, so sad! :)
