11 Months!
Today is Kennedy's 11 month birthday! I have taken pictures of her every month on the 28th and I did today, but I didn't get any good shots. I put her in a Christmas outfit in an attempt to get a Christmas card worthy photo and got a lot of mad faces in a very cute dress. So I am a bad mother today, and will be posting no new pictures. It has already been a LONG week for me at work. I am glad we are on the way to the weekend!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUSU!
Today is SuSu's birthday! Kennedy had a good time hanging out with SuSu! I joked and said this looks like a Christmas morning picture... the pajamas, the tree...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
I really love the Christmas season. I know it is over commercialized, but I really enjoy this time of year. It just seems like people are just a little happier. Homes seem warmer. We went and picked out our Christmas tree this afternoon. I love picking out a tree each year. We grew up with a fake tree and Blake and I would go to the attic each year to get it down and then put together the color coded branches. What fun! I did enjoy that, but I wanted so much to have a real tree. We did get one on Christmas Eve for a few years and had my mom's awful fake tree up the entire season, because I begged so much. All this to say, I like to make the tradition of going and picking out a tree. I couldn't wait to have my children join in this tradition. Last year I waddled in and bossed Greg around pointing to different trees to try. I didn't have to waddle this year, thank goodness, but I still bossed him around to pick up different trees. I think we got another good one this year. We brought it home and haven't started the decorating yet. We'll get to that this week. Kennedy enjoyed looking at all the trees! Her first tree is just perfect! Here are some pics from today. The first is on the way to get the tree. She was so excited! :)
Happy Thanksgiving!
We had a wonderful thanksgiving this year! We headed down south to Darien to spend it with my parents this year. Last year was the big Dyersburg trip and it was the last one with MaMa before she died so it was sad. And to top it all off I couldn't travel and missed it so it was a hard year. This year was much better! I think MaMa would have been proud at the family time we spent together. Mom wore her ugly apron in honor of MaMa and I made some yummy things out of her cookbook. Blake and the family also came down which provided much entertainment! We had fun! Kennedy LOVES her cousins! She played and played! I also bought a nice new camera and took like 300 pictures, so I will make a slide show later with lots of those. In the meantime I will leave you with these. We took a trip to the island and got lots of good beach shots. The kids had fun and Kennedy got her feet wet!

Love baby!
HI!

Not much to say today, I just wanted to post a picture. Kennedy was busy playing under the coffee table last night. She is busy learning to talk. She babbles so much it sounds like some sort of language we don't understand. She's moved on from the dada mama stage and is now saying blagasoofoma, googoslomowa. What does that mean? :) She does say mama now in my direction. We are working on dada!
Let's also raise our glass to Aunt Courtney, for an always exciting trip to the boro! I hope we didn't bore you too much since we are old and go to bed so early! We LOVE you!

My favorite people...

I couldn't resist taking pictures this morning. I know that I am really obsessed about picture taking and need to slow down. We are currently looking for a digital SLR so I can take even better ones. I want to take a photography class. Her life is going by so fast and I feel like it is so important to capture it. All this to say, I had to take some pics of Greg and Kennedy this morning. She is a VERY picky eater, but Ms. Michelle discovered she likes big people oatmeal and today we tried it out. She LOVED it! Greg sat in the floor with her and they had a little breakfast. I titled this my favorite people because they kind of are.... same face, same good attitude (most of the time)....
Courtney is here and tonight after I put Kennedy to bed, I thought, "I am surrounded by the same face everywhere I turn!" They all look alike! It is very scary!

Aunt Courtney!!
Yes that's right folks, an Aunt Courtney visit is upon us yet again! Kennedy was super pumped about it. We've been talking about it all week. She showed off her new skills to Aunt Courtney or Aunt Coco, I've decided we should shorten the name. We'll refer to her as CoCo from now on, cocoa like cocoa puffs for those of you confused with the pronunciation. Kennedy warmed up to Aunt CoCo pretty quickly. The read a book before she went night night tonight. I would also like everyone to comment on how fabulously wonderful Courtney is looking with her new hair. Feel free to copy the pic and send to all your single and cute boy friends!

Here you go.....

I have had multiple requests to get updated on my blogging. I would like to state for the record it is all Greg's fault. He has been gone all week and took the laptop and our desktop got a virus and I can't get the internet to work on it. So here I go, with my many blogs tonight. Here is a picture I took of Kennedy last weekend. Just precious. I can't believe how fast life is going by. One of my students said that the other day and I thought, you have no idea.
It is very funny to me that I have an identical picture to this one with Riley looking out our bedroom window I took a few years ago. Things have changed haven't they?
Family Fun Night

Last weekend we had our Sunday School family fun night. We played a murder mystery game, which I have never done and it turned out to be so much fun! Chad and Jen said it is an old people thing to do, but we had a good time. Everyone dressed up for the part. It was 50's attire. Here are a few pictures of the night. Greg was Chubby Cheddar :) and I was Barby-Q. Sarah and I were the same character. I am posting this picture of her oh so cute belly. I called her explosively pregnant that night, which you should never say that to a pregnant woman, but she was just so shockingly pregnant all of the sudden. I can't wait to meet baby Banks!
