Pictures! FINALLY!

Life is BUSY, BUSY! I haven't even been as good at taking pictures lately. So, in case you forgot how stinking cute my kids are...here they are! :)

Being silly :)

Miles and miles of dimples!

That face....we see it ALL the time. It goes from this....

to this....in the blink of an eye!

I am so blessed with these precious children. I think about Tonya everyday. I think about how she is just thankful to have each day with her kids. We should all be like that. Be thankful in your moments. Be happy in what you have. We don't know what life will bring us. We just have to make the best of what we have and live it to its fullest. God has blessed me beyond anything I ever imagined. I still stare at this little boy I was given and am in awe. He truly was the greatest surprise I have ever been given. I can't imagine a day without his sweet smile. Sometimes you ask and ask for things. Sometimes they are just given to you. That's the great part of
life. We don't know what is next. We just have to sit back and enjoy the now. It's easy to say, but hard to do. I hope I take enough time to enjoy where I am. I don't want these babies to grow any faster. It is already TOO fast. I want to listen to Whit ramble in semi sentences forever. I want time to stand still. I want Kennedy to always say, "You are the best mommy on the whole earth!" I'll just soak it in. I'll try my hardest to do that at least. :)
I love you, my precious babies. I am growing lots of gray hairs raising you but it is worth EVERY moment.

A little of my childhood

My Papa made this for me when I was a little girl. It has been in my garage for a good year waiting on me to redo it. It just needed a little love. It was my Saturday project last week. A little coat of paint and some fluff and it turned out perfect. It is sweet to have a little of my grandparents in my house still. This was something I remember so vividly from my childhood. It is pretty neat to be able to pass that on. Kennedy's babies now have a nice place to sleep, complete with a crocheted blanket by my MaMa. Just perfect! :)

WAKE UP!

Need a wake up call? Whit's your man! :) Give the boy a whistle and he will wake up the world. Kennedy was not amused....hahahaha!

Not at all!

Kennedy Goes to SCHOOL!

Kennedy is now in her third week of school. She has been having such a good time. My child is not a morning person so the hardest thing is getting her going. She doesn't have to be there until 9!!! What will we do next year??? hahaha! She loves school. I knew she would. The first week she came home only knowing a few kids. Now she talks about them like they are best friends. She told me one little girl told her today that she knew how to peel a banana. Then the little girl told Kennedy that she bets Kennedy doesn't know how to do that. She said, "Mommy, will you pack me a banana for snack tomorrow?" I need to show her I can! hahaha! Little stinker. I am not used to peer pressure. She came home today singing the months of the year song. She learned something!! :) That and the walk in the line song that is quite amusing as well. She is growing up WAY too fast. Here she is on her first day at school. Greg is getting better with the hair. This was his first attempt. :)

Oh the things they say!

Kennedy packs up a ton of her toys into a tea pot, throws her purse on her shoulder and announces, "Well, I think I'll take all of these to college!"

I wish I could record everything that comes out of Whit's mouth. Saying I love to hear him talk is an understatement. Just the sound of his voice makes me happy. He always misses words that are important but we always understand him. He has this little box he got when he was born and I made it a place for us to put Papi's away in hopes we will get rid of them soon. He says, "My papi, go in my special box?" Then he grins from ear to ear.

I love these babies.

Yesterday they both spent 10 minutes SCREAMING simultaneously in their respective time out spots. That was awesome.

I love these babies. :)

Sweet, Sweet Summer :)

Dear Summer,

I've enjoyed you so much. I love this time of year. I love staying up late and sleeping late (7:30!!). I love endless days with my babies. I get teary when I think about the massive amount of time I have had to spoil them. I asked Whit, "Does Mommy go to work?" He says, "No, Daddy go work! Mommy stay home!" I love that they think I am a stay at home mom. We've had endless days at the pool. The kids have eaten more than their fair share of country club pizza this summer. We have played and played. We've gone to the beach. We've seen eagles and turtles. We've even done the GSU museum which takes a grand total of 20 minutes. :) We've survived shopping trips to Walmart (all three of us alone). Ring pops have helped us do that. I've watched BOTH of my babies learn to swim. I can't take my eyes off Whit but Kennedy can now swim in the pool all by herself! Last summer was hard. Whit was still morning napping, we were dropping nursing, Kennedy couldn't swim yet. This summer......just perfect. I do have a 2 year old now that likes to be difficult sometimes. And Kennedy....well if you know her that is all you need to know. But life, as it stands now, with my two children a year and a half apart in age is just as I would wish it. They fight and yell. They don't listen sometimes and I would still 100% define my life as perfect. Everything doesn't go as planned. I am overwhelmed like crazy sometimes. That's life though. So, my dear summer, as we bring you to a close I will say this. Thank you. Thank you for all the joy and laughter you have brought. We are now walking into what this school year holds. It is a lot of change for my babies, but I think we are ready for it. We are tan and relaxed thanks to you. If you didn't exist I don't know if I could. :)

Sincerely,

Your number one fan,

Katie
