Her Very First Birthday....

Kennedy enjoyed her first birthday. We went to the park this morning and played on the playground. She had a lot of fun. She also took some time to play with Riley and ride in her new wagon! What a great day! Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day. I took so many! I would like to state that this year was a much more relaxing day for me than last year! :)

This is my favorite. Look closely and you can see her TWO teeth. Two teeth and one year old!
She loves Riley. She refers to her as daaawwwggg. Very southern. Riley loves her too!
She was also slightly fascinated with her balloons. I couldn't believe they were still flying high after a week!

Fun at the playground!

I love this one. She was crawling through a tunnel that had holes in it and Greg would pop in one and call her name. She got really tickled!

Happy Birthday to my Kennedy!

I cannot believe how fast this year has gone by. People will tell you that it does, but really it has gone by so fast. I wish so much that she knew how much she has brought to my life. I guess it is just something for me to know right now and for her to know later. This is for her, but I guess I will share it with you!

Always believe in miracles because you are one.
So many people prayed for you and God answered in a huge way!
Your daddy and I are so proud to be your parents.
This year has been one of the best of my life. Watching you
grow from a little baby to the sweet little one you are now
has been so much fun! If life is hard sometimes just know that
God has a plan. He will guide your path. I look forward to all
that comes our way. I look forward to watching you grow into
a little girl. Your nursery says, "I am a dream come true" on the
wall. You are our dream come true. Always remember that my
precious Kennedy! I love you dearly! Happy 1st Birthday!

Our first family Christmas

We had a great family Christmas! By the time it was all over I was worn out. I got out of school last Thursday and had her first birthday party Saturday so Friday was spent cleaning and getting ready. Saturday night we had the Olliff/Prosser Christmas party. Then on Sunday we had Christmas with Grandma. Kennedy had fun. She got an alphabet train with a million pieces and loved taking them and throwing them around the house. Fun for me! Then on Monday we had the annual Christmas Eve at Mema's. She was again the bell of the ball and entertained until she began to scream night night at everyone and I put her to bed! Christmas was spent opening Santa here. She got a cabbage patch kid. I opened it and it smelled like I remember them smelling. Funny how a smell brings back memories. Her name is Kallie Sasha and Kennedy quickly called her Sasha so Sasha she is. And she has clothes on! You guys will be proud! We got dressed and went next door to visit with Drewbie and see how Santa treated him, then we were off to SuSu and Poppa's for Christmas at the Olliff's. Are you tired yet? Not done. She got a wagon with seats and loves it. We rode up and down the driveway yesterday in it. Then we were off to Darien to see my parents and have Christmas dinner with them. By the end of the day I was worn out! We are back at home now and busy celbrating Kennedy's birthday today. I will post some pictures in a little while. My battery just went down on my camera. I hope you all had a good Christmas!

Happy Birthday Kennedy and Merry Christmas everyone!

Saturday was Kennedy's first birthday party. We had a few friends and mostly family come over and celebrate. She was truly a good hostess. She smiled as she was passed around. She was very cautious with her cake. She took her time and picked off each polka dot and ate those first. I had to cut into the cake to get her to eat that part. So girly! I can't believe she is almost 1! It has gone by so fast!

This will probally be my last post before Christmas. May you all have a wonderful Christmas. Take the time to enjoy the simple moments! I am going to try to do that!

Kennedy says.....Merry Christmas!

I know I have been a bad blogger and for that I am truly sorry! I finally made my Christmas cards today and we took this picture and wanted so badly to put it on the card. I thought about how much she would hate me when she grows up so I will just post it here. Kennedy's birthday party is this Saturday. She is getting so excited! I am sure this week will be crazy busy so don't expect much posting. I will catch up over the holidays. I hope you all are doing well!
I would also like to send a shout out to Fun Sarah! It is her superfun birthday! Happy Birthday Sarah!

Christmas Time...

I would like to state that the pace of my life lately has not been at a slow one at all. So, to all of you that I have not called back or not emailed or seen, I am truly sorry! I have been running from one thing to another. Kennedy's birthday party is in 2 weeks and I have planned nothing! Not even to mention I have not bought one single gift yet. Well, I do have Santa presents for Kennedy, but that is it! I feel that life is in a blurr...

We had Sarah's shower today. My house was full of babies and pregnant people! It was fun! It is so neat to see God's work in our lives. I have this ornanment of Greg as a baby on my tree. Susan brought it over the year we moved in here. I LOVE pictures of Greg as a baby. They make my heart smile. I used to look at it and hope that someday I would have a precious baby that looked just like him. It is a neat reminder of how much God has given me since that day. I prayed for a baby, and God answered with my precious Kennedy. I looked around at the room full of babies today and thought how many hold-it babies God has given to all of us. How can you not believe?

Christmas is a time of miracles. I sometimes think Kennedy will be made at me about when her birthday is. But I can see so much meaning in the timing of her birth. What better time could God give me my miracle that the time we celebrate the ultimate miracle, Jesus. So in this season of miracles, I am going to run around in my busy life, go shopping, plan a 1st birthday party, go to Christmas parties and also stand still. I'll be still and know so much more than the years ago when I longingly looked at that baby picture of my precious husband and wondered what God would give me. I could never have imagined the joy!

Merry Christmas to you all! I love you!

It's Christmas Time at the Olliff/Prosser Compound!

It is Christmas card picture time around our next of the woods! We dressed up the babies today in their matching Bailey Boys outfits in another attempt for some card worthy photos! They looked precious! I love the one of Drew and Kennedy together. It was hard trying to get them to sit still long enough. I did get some really good shots of Kennedy. I won't share those yet... you will have to wait for your card! I also did a little Christmas shopping today. Fun times! I really do love the holiday season!
