TWO

My favorite phrase from my 2 year old...."Mommy, I want YOU!" Of course he does. :)

He runs into more things than I can count. He is allergic to the most random things. He has bruises, a swollen eye, mosquito bites from being inside......I am suprised he has made it through all of the things he has done. He was a surprise......best one I have ever been given! :) He's a pretty cute surprise isn't he?

FOUR!

My favorite phrase from my 4 year old...."I love you to the moon and back"

She has a Disney trip planned for us when she turns 5. I still haven't committed to that. She has it all planned though. Apparently we will be dining with princesses on her birthday. Crazy girl!

Best of Friends

They don't always get along. We don't really care. They just have to be friends. :) Yet, somehow, some way, they became the best of friends. Drew and Kennedy have the closest relationship. They'll always be like that. At least, I hope they are. She loves him so much. Whit and Drew have started to be really good friends too. They do "boy" things like baseball and ride the gator together. Then there is Lorelei. If you ask Whit who his best friend is he'll tell you it is Lorelei. If you see them together you might not think they are best friends. I was worried about their feelings about each other for a while. Then I see them snuggled next to each other every day at Michelle's. He loves his fiesty little girlfriend. :) K and L have started to play together too. They run around the yard with their babies. Our babies are growing up. They have changed and I thought I would be so sad. Instead, I am just enjoying it. I love them all so much. And then we added Brannen to the compound and it feels complete. We all get to share in a little baby snuggle. Poor thing.....he is in for it with these 4! I am so thankful for good friends. And to have all our kids the same age, live next door to your best friends......makes life even sweeter.

Praying.........

Aunt Tonya is not big on the pink ribbon stuff. I don't blame her one bit. I like it because it reminds me to pray for her everyday. My car has a magnet with the ribbon and I rarely go a day without seeing it. When I see it, I say a prayer for her. It is my little reminder to pray that God continues to keep the cancer away. I pray for Tonya and Blake to live a very long life together. I want to be there throwing them the biggest 50th anniversary party. :) Tonya has been having some back pain. Her dr has scheduled a bone scan for this Thursday. I know she is worried. She lives her life scared that this horrible cancer will come back. She also lives with hope and faith in our Lord that He has cured her. We are all human. We all have doubts and worries. My prayer is that she is given a peace. I pray all the time that I can bear the burdens that are on my brother. I am always the fixer in the family. I calm everyone down when they freak out about something. There are days I have wept for them. I like to think that is God listening to my prayer. I pray so hard that I can bear some of Blake's burdens on his heart. He loves her so.....and so do we. Please join my family in prayers this week. Pray for continued remission from the cancer. I know He is listening. He's a mighty God we serve. I am so thankful to have that promise. Love to you all.

4 Year Stats

K had her 4 year old visit. Stats are...

39 lbs

38 1/2 inches tall

75% percentile in weight and 25th in height.

She has 20/20 vision and did not cooperate with the hearing test! We have to go back and have it redone. :)

She's growing up too fast!

And for comparison, Whit is 30 lbs and they wear the same size shoe! Size 9's here! :) He's catching up in height. We'll see how long it takes to have them the same size. I get a LOT of "Are they twins?" lately.

My Mommy

My mom always complains that I don't answer the phone when she calls. She'll leave messages that say, "katie, this is your birth mother." She'll say things like, "I wish I still had my mom here so I could ignore her phone calls. I would love to have her here where I could not pick up the phone!" Oh, dear Phyllis, you are not underappreciated. You are not being ignored. I am just a busy mom. I will say I am thankful. I am thankful that our relationship survived my teenage years. I talk to my mom every morning on our way to work. I don't like it when I don't get that call. It is an important part of my day. So, mom, I am thankful for 32 years of your love and understanding. I hope we have 32 more! That way you can see me in my 60's. That be pretty awesome. :) LOVE YOU!
