Whit and Lorelei have a love-hate relationship. I find it hilarious. Here are a few cute ones of them recently. They are too stinking cute. I LOVE a baby in a diaper. :)
You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them. ~Desmond Tutu
The first time we took Whit to the beach this year it was pretty cold. He was not interested in the water much. He LOVED the sand. Then we went again. He was so scared of the waves he clung to me for dear life. Pause here for a minute. I was super disappointed. The beach is one of my happiest places on earth and I needed both my children to love it. In the summer it is hot and around here you have to get in or you will not make it a day on the beach! So this time we go and he again is scared to death. He digs his heals in my side when I try to put his feet in. Then I get the brilliant idea to hold his hands and swing him into the waves. He begins to laugh hysterically and decides this is not a bad place anymore. From then on he became a beach boy. He would run and fill up his bucket and laugh and laugh. Man I was happy about this. For a minute at least......
Blake and the fam had so super cute pictures taken this week. I stole a few. :)
I hear MOMMY a lot around here. It is sometimes said in a sweet voice but all too often it is spoken in a very demanding tone around here. It comes with the job I guess. I absolutely adore Mother's Day. I think I love it more than my birthday or Christmas. It is an honor to bear the name Mommy. No matter what the tone it is spoken in it is a gift in itself. I yearned for the day that I would be called someone's mommy. Now, as I hear my name it brings me such joy. You are my greatest blessings Whitfield Daniel and Kennedy Susan. I am honored to be your Mommy. Maybe one day you will know how much I love you both. If not, it doesn't matter. Being a mom is a thankless job that I am forever thankful to have.
