Too busy to eat!

A baby is a baby right? They are all just sweet babies that coo and love you. I have quickly discovered that there is quite a difference in boys and girls! Don't laugh at me! Kennedy was so FAT and juicy...and now we have our skinny little Whit. I thought maybe he was malnourished or something(he is totally not) but instead I realized he is just a busy boy! Why take time to eat when you can stare at Riley? Or the floor? Here are a few examples of my busy little boy. I do love it!

The bouncy seat....I am putting it away this weekend! Do you think it is time? (he is buckled in for the safety patrol reading)

He can hold his own bottle! Now I don't bottle feed at all...just when I am at work, but he has refused to eat a few times so I just gave him a little extra breastmilk and he says, "thanks!" and gulps it down himself. (this is right after he refused to eat because he wanted to watch Riley run around the living room)
Food...yum....but it is also fun to play with when SuSu turns around while feeding me!

What's in here? This is after he chased Kennedy around the couch with her yelling, "NO WHIT, you can't have my stroller!"

Life is just not like it used to be anymore!

He crawls and talks!

Whit has been so talkative lately. He has bababa and mamama down. The mama makes me happy...although he prefers the bababa much more. Here is an example of his crawling skills and those oh so sweet first sounds....love it... and don't get dizzy with the part of him sitting up, he was trying really hard to get my camera. :) He is a busy boy!

Whitty Whit

Whit is busy these days getting into EVERYTHING he can get his hands on. He has perfected his version of crawling and can move even faster these days. He still doesn't sit for long because he is also really good at getting from sitting to crawling position in a second! He still falls backwards if I leave him for too long...so the boppy will stay behind him for a while. The problem is that he uses the boppy to fly over it when I turn around. What happened to a baby that you plop down next to a nice basket of toys and cook dinner? How did I miss that stage? Thanks, Whit, really mommy thanks you for that!

I put him down on the floor to play with this toy with the boppy behind him, turn around and here he comes. He was chasing me!

What a pair!

I love these two. They are starting to sound like a strange old married couple. The conversations they have will crack you up. Things like, "Hey Dew, I right here." All the while Drew is saying, "Hey, Kennedy, hey Kennedy." Sweet moments....

Sweet Girl

We have been enjoying this wonderful weather! Kennedy snuck outside with her Daddy tonight while I was putting Whit to bed. I go out and find her in a nice saggy diaper and her shirt from the day. That girl hates clothes! Here are a few sweet pics. She is growing up so fast! She was picking up pine straw and I said, "watch out there might be worms in there!" She gets this horrible look on her face and says, "I'm scared Mommy! I'm scared of the worms. I'm afraid!" Then she decided it was time to go in. That is a girl after my own heart. Worms, yuck!

My life in points

I need to make this public. I need to put myself out there. I need you to call and say, "Katie, how are you doing on this?" I, Katie Olliff, have put myself on my very first diet. Yes, that's right, I am on a diet! I started weight watchers last week and my life is now all about points. I do get lots of extra points (I say lots loosely here) for nursing so I feel safer about dieting while nursing. And as I approach the end of my first week I am feeling much better about myself. I was eating SO bad when I really thought about it. So there it is folks. I am currently fat, but plan on being skinnier soon. :)

Capturing these moments

I love the way my kids love all of their grandparents. I love the way Kennedy giggles when they get here. I love the way Whit's eyes light up when I walk into a room. I love how excited my kids get when Greg puts them on his shoulders. They think they can conquer the world. I love the love in my parents eyes as they watch their baby's children play. Being a parent has so many moments of joy. Now we also have those not so good moments, but the good so outways the bad. I take like a billion pictures a week just because these moments are so important to me. They are gone before I know it. Time doesn't stand still so I'll just keep my camera close by. I don't want to miss those looks, that laughter, that smile....I'll just capture it and keep it with me forever. Here are some of my favorite moments of the weekend.
